Welcome to Brand Design Love

About two years ago I was searching the internet for answers and advice from other brand design leaders on how to structure my brand design team. I wanted to hear from them about what worked well, and what did not. I searched and searched, but there was a noticeable gap.

There was heaps of content on product design teams, revealing agency-esque brand identities, but nowhere was anyone talking about an in-house brand team after the big brand book reveal. I passionately believe the continuation and evolution of brands is rudimentary to all business. Brand consistency contributes to revenue growth, and it must be maintained, and it usually is by an in-house team or designer. Why is this talked about so little? Where is the in-house brand design team community? I decided to create a space for us on Brand Design Love.

I’ve been stretching for the big launch for the last two years; now I’m ready for the big race.

For those of you who don’t know.

Brand identity design is an integral part of any business, but it’s more than the visual representation of your brand. A brand is how your customers or users experience your company, every touchpoint evokes an emotional response that is a factor in the decisions they make about you. It should communicate your company’s values, mission, and vision and what makes you, you. A well-designed brand identity establishes trust, builds brand recognition, and attracts new customers.

In a 2021 Lucidpress study, 32% of respondents say that brand consistency it’s increased their brand’s revenue by 20% or more.
